On the third of May, I arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport. I rode a bus for six hours. Finally, I arrived at my destination – Monol. Up to now, I have stayed here for two weeks. Although my stay here is not long, I feel homesick.
The students in Monol are from different countries. There are a few Chinese. Mostly are Koreans and Japanese, so I have to speak English every day. They are all friendly and warm. I am lucky to know them. I like making friends with them. I can have a deeper understanding of their culture.
On weekdays, we have lessons for seven hours. The atmosphere in the classroom is more relaxed than in my high school. Teachers are like your friends that you can confide in and let you enjoy. On weekends, I can go sightseeing in Baguio City with my friends. We went to SM, Maharlika building, and a famous local park.
In the Philippines, there are many interesting places waiting for us. These experiences don’t only expand our horizons, but also improve the ability of speaking in English.
I will study in Monol until July. Although many difficulties are still ahead, I am determined to overcome it and enjoy every day life in Monol.
